Do You Want to be FREE?

How do you feel about yourself? Do you listen to your body when it speaks to you? So much of what we see and hear in the world tells us to ignore our bodies and live in a way so that we don't stand out. So much of Western culture is about conforming to a standard set by people who are trying to sell you an idea of who you should be.

We spend our lives believing this; that we must be a certain way in order to belong, in order to fit in, in order to be worthy of love. But this is a falsehood. This is what keeps us from ever really knowing who we are. This is what keeps us from loving ourselves, because we cannot love what we do not know.

I am here to tell you, the most important thing you can do for yourself and for the world, is get to know yourself. Listen to your body. Listen to your heart. It knows you. Get comfortable with the fact that you aren't like everyone else. You are in fact, unique and wonderful. But, if you spend your life trying to fit in, you will never discover this.

This website and blog is full of inspiration and resources for you to become who you were meant to be, and love that person completely. If this seems like a stretch, or like a false promise, I can tell you that it is not. The reason you don't believe it is because you have been convinced that you must conform. But you do not have to be like other people. You were not born to be other people, you were born to be you, and the key to your happiness, your freedom, your liberation, is finding out who that person is and celebrating that path.

No matter who you are, finding out how to better know and love yourself is always worth the time and energy it takes to do so.

Eloquent as Fuck was created by Sara Young.

Sara is a ground-breaking body positive artist and writer. She has committed her life to freeing herself from the unrealistic expectations which society puts upon her. Her mission is to help as many people as possible fight for their freedom so that they can be comfortable in their skin and damn proud of it as well.

Sara lives her life as if she is a work in progress. She believes that there is opportunity in every moment, and she lives each moment to make it her own. She uses every experience to learn about herself and the world around her.

The SEY Manifesto

As I am a living, breathing, feeling human, I will always endeavor to be myself, whoever that might be in the moment, and I will do so unapologetically.

I will encourage others to be themselves, short of being violent and hateful, whoever that may be.

I will do everything I can to express my point of view, and put just as much effort into listening to the point of view of others. I will attempt to meet and understand people who are different from me.

I will express myself, in writing and through artistic endeavors, so that I might make the world a better place, for I am a caretaker of small creatures, a bringer of light, a slayer of hateful greed. I am an individual who expects the very best of humans, including myself, and I will not settle for less than compassion, kindness, and love.

Official Bird: American Kestrel

North America's littlest falcon. Can hover in flight, and snatches its prey from the ground or in mid-air. This bird is small, but mighty. Just like Sara.

Official Flower: Orange Gerber Daisy

An endlessly hopeful flower in Sara's favorite color, orange.  Like Sara, the meaning is warmth, creativity, sunshine, and happiness.

Official Quote: By Anais Nin

Had I not created my own world, I would certainly have died in other people's.

This quote gets to the heart of what Sara hopes to do: Inspire people to create their own world.
